The type of “carabiner” offered does not have a rivet pin, or gate opening, the best way to describe it, “one loop of metal with a very small opening just big enough to slide onto a metal plate, once on the metal plate, you have entered a “course”, not element”. In reference to “carabiner”, If you are familiar with using a carabiner with a rivet pin, allowing you to unhook and hook yourself up to the cable, this is not the carabiner option offered. The gloves do not cover the whole finger, on the advanced courses, we recommend fully covered fingers. The equipment, the harness fits as expected. Crowds a bit lighter or as expected in 2021. In reference to the number of people on the course(s), the lower level courses yellow, green, were a bit crowded, the blue, felt way less crowded, the black and double black, we had elements to ourselves. THAAP, offers black level courses as well as a “double black” course. In reference to the black level course “elements”, some of the most challenging “elements” experienced. In reference to the courses, if you have done a few ropes courses, the courses leading up to the blue level courses are at par, challenge wise, with other ropes courses, although offer some very different “elements”. Sending a “shout out” to all the staff members at THAAP, thank you for making the experience educational, fun and safe. The people who work at TreeHoppers Arial Adventure Park (THAAP) know how to instruct, encourage, and assist when needed, when you think a “staff” member isn’t around, (they are always looking up) you will hear a helpful/caring voice offer assistance to those struggling or needing encouragement. Additionally, the bugs were terrible at sunset, but got significantly better once the sun had gone down We did have to wait a bit on the easier courses, because there were children and families in front of us. This was a five star experience however, keep in mind that there are people of all backgrounds and ages at this park. We were thrilled to learn that we did not need to constantly be moving crab claws from one element to another. We never had to disconnect from the course, which made it nearly fool proof. I don’t think she even knew what Sean/Shawn was doing.Īlso, I wanted to note that their continuous belay system was awesome. He was able to keep her from panicking and she completed the course. He did a great job of keeping the girl laughing and distracted as she worked her way through the last few elements. Also, we got to see him talk another couple through the last few elements. He also carried on a conversation with us, which was really fun. He was friendly and gave great tips for completing the elements. Sean/Shawn (not sure of spelling) was our staff member. We were able to move as quickly as we wanted, and a staff member shadowed us from the ground. Once we got to the black diamond, there were very few people on the more challenging courses. A Yellow, Green, Blue, and Black Diamond. TreeHoppers was awesome!! My boyfriend and I did four courses.
